The Full Moon in Aquarius

Today’s full moon in Aquarius will ask us to reexamine our goals and what we want for our future.

We can look at where we are and what brought us to this point and see if we’re happy on this road. Aquarius is a fixed air sign and this lunation can be very mental.

Astrology is often more about questions than answers, and this full moon is no exception. The Sun and Moon are squaring Jupiter and while Jupiter is considered a beneficial planet, it can also expand any confusion we may feel about where we’re going. It can sometimes feel like too many options, too many possibilities, especially with a tense aspect such as a square. We may find that there are other things in our life (maybe even really wonderful things) that are getting in the way of bigger goals that we keep to ourselves or perhaps don’t take too seriously because they don’t fit into the checklist of what seems reasonable for you at this season of life.

The key here is to go back to the heart. It is Leo season, the sign the Sun is traveling through right now, and Leo rules the heart. If you’re feeling overwhelmed do something that tunes you into your heart, and remember that full moons are a time of culmination, celebrations, and closure, not a time for new beginnings. So there is no need for any pressure to get started on something or to do anything right now.

There can be a lot of inspirational energy with this full moon, but it’s wise  to wait on taking action. It’s a powerful time to let go of a part of you that feels old, stale or just not quite right.

Late Tuesday night the Moon will move into dreamy, sensitive, and soulful Pisces, where she will meet up with Saturn and oppose Mercury. We may find that we’re thinking and talking a lot about boundaries. Saturn loves boundaries, Pisces doesn’t really know boundaries, so Saturn in Pisces Talking to Mercury in Virgo will be interesting (although pretty brief). Virgo is all about efficiency and setting up systems that are helpful, so I think this can be very productive if we are open to creative ways of solving problems that we’ve been facing for a while.

If you’re interested in exploring any of these transits within your own birth chart and want to see how they are playing out for you, contact me here and we can set up a reading. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.

Have a great week!
